Kelsey Grammer needs to give HALF his $100 million fortune to Camille if he wants a quickie divorce. Unbelievably, there was no pre-nup!
Kelsey Grammer is going to have to pay his wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer a whopping $50 million dollars to extract himself from their now unhappy union, TMZ is reporting. During their 13-year marriage the couple pulled in $100 million, and since there’s no prenup, California law states half that amount is hers! Much of their fortune is currently tied up in real estate — the couple own homes in Hawaii, LA, Malibu, The Hamptons, NYC and Colorado. And much of the current negotiations concern how to value and divide these properties, given the current real estate slump.
Camille will also continue to get a share of the residuals Kelsey makes from Frasier, which continues to generate a ton of money in reruns.
It’s also been reported that Kelsey has asked the judge to finalize his divorce as soon as possible, so he can immediately marry his new fiancee, Kayte Walsh. If Kelsey pays up and doesn’t contest the amount owed to Camille, the judge could grant him his divorce as early as January 1st, 2011.
