i think he was blindsided only because he didn’t think she would ever have the nerve to actually do it. i don’t think he cared if she was unhappy in the marriage. he has such a high opinion of himself that hes shocked that she would leave him. she did the right thing for her daughter and herself.

yes maybe Kidman was blindsided but i bet she is happy now as he is a cult control freak, Kidman did not like the cult either……….good for Katie, i wish her much good luck to get full custody for her lil’girl before she is forced to be a cult member……tom cult is bad news, i always thought he was a strange person, always……he is not the so called nice guy we thought he was way back when…….he fooled lots of people……..he can’t hold on to a woman with his cult in his back pocket…….since the Brook thing i have not watched a thing with him in it, nothing…….

No marriage just comes to an end. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors and you can bet there was trouble for a while. Let them have their privacy so they can grieve the loss for their sakes and the sake of their daughter.

if the main reason kate dosen”t want to be involved in the marriage to tom cruise is his religious belief which is Scientology. Then she is not doing the right thing she is a catholic and marriage says for better for worse till death do us part. divorce is not an option for a christian.Also there is a possibility that if suri grows up she might want to practice her father’s religion so why get a divorce and leave this little girl heart broken

Sorry Wendy – I ‘completely’ disagree! I am a Catholic and incase you haven’t been paying attention, the religion is changing. No one should ‘stay together’ just for the child’s sake. I lived that first hand, and it is NOT healthy for a child to grow up in an unstable, unhappy home – where the parents can’t stand each other, alot of fighting, etc. Really bad things may have gone on in that home with TC, should Katie stay?? Absolutely not! This is her child. A child who right now needs someone to protect her, and put her first before anything, including the marriage. Especially if it’s BAD. If Suri decides when she is old enough to make up her own mind, that Scientology is the path she chooses, then fine. But to say that Katie should stay in, what could possibly be a really bad marriage so Suri doesn’t get her heart broken is ridiculous. She is a ‘child’. Unlike some parents, I don’t belive in letting the ‘child’ dictate what is best. Katie is the only one who knows what is best for her daughter and herself. She has chosen to walk away, she must have some really good reasons, and that is the only decision that matters right now.

Get with the times about religion, your comments are old hat, Katie is a young woman and has to put her child and herself first, and if that means living without that crackpot, then so be it. Religion is a crutch for people who cant stand on their own two feet.
