Boy bands are officially BACK! Click through for pics of the hottest groups then and now, and VOTE for your favorite boy band of all time!
We can't help but notice some striking similarities between the hottest all-guy groups of the moment (One Direction, The Wanted) and the very first boy bands — like The Beatles! British band One Direction's super-fast rise to fame gives us deja vu, since it's so similar to The Beatles' worldwide takeover in the '60s. Click through our gallery to see pics of our favorite boy bands then and now — and see who we're dubbing the *NSYNC of 2012!Read More, See Pics, and VOTE!
Watch out, One Direction! The Wanted is another hot British boy band rising to the top of the charts. They're a little older, a little sexier, and we can't stop playing their hit single, “Glad You Came”! The group was assembled through a mass audition in 2009, the same way that *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys were put together by the Lou Pearlman in the '90s.
Who could forget the made-for-tv band O-Town? The group came together in 2000 on the hit MTV reality show Making The Band, and became instant superstars! Similarly, One Direction was formed by Simon Cowell in 2010 when Harry, Louis, Zayn, Niall and Liam auditioned individually for the British version of X Factor. We agree that the boys are better together! (FameFlynet)
Justin Bieber and One Direction have been working together in the studio, and we couldn't be more excited that these guys are collaborating! Here's to hoping one of their songs makes it onto Justin's new album, Believe! (FameFlynet)
The boys of Los Angeles-based group Mindless Behavior may be young (they're only 14!) but their smooth R&B/hip hop sound is already reminiscent of '90s crooners like Boyz II Men. Their first album, "#1 Girl," debuted at No. 7 on the album charts!
The Jonas Brothers are reuniting the studio, and we can't wait to hear their new sound. It's been a while since we've heard from the trio, but we're sure their new music will be just as catchy as their 2008 hit, “Burnin' Up”! (FameFlynet)
One Direction's takeover of the pop music world reminds us SO much of '60s Beatlemania. And not only do they work like the Brit boy bands of the past, they play like them too! Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson hit the beach in Australia on April 11, just the Monkees did decades ago. (SplashNews)
Paul McCartney's son, James, has said he wants to start a second-generation Beatles band with the sons of John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. He says they'd call themselves, what else, “The Beatles — The Next Generation”!
We definitely think superstars can find true love together, but we just don't believe that these pairs are genuine. Vote for the most unbelievable pairing!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's relationship has captivated the world, but many fans think it just may be a way for them to drum up publicity. And from pairs who found love on reality TV to really strange pairings with no chemistry, sometimes we just can't buy Hollywood romances. Check out our gallery and tell us, HollywoodLifers — which love seems the most fake? (FameFlynet [4])
Jennifer Lopez & Casper Smart — We're sure she is rebounding after her divorce with the hunky dancer, but we can't see a future for this mismatched pair! (FameFlynet)
Vanessa Hudgens & Austin Butler – Most fans think that Vanessa is lusting after this hunk, but they are not meant to be together! (FameFlynet)
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West — They've practically admitted that this relationship is for publicity — and it's working! (FameFlynet)
