Take a look above at our photo gallery of Sophisto Jen V Everyday Jen!
Isn’t Jen Garner one of those actresses that you just can’t hate, no matter how rich, beautiful and lucky -in-love , she is. I mean who can hate a woman, who’s worth millions, but still schleps around on a daily basis with her two little daughters on her hip, to the playground, the supermarket and the gas pump. It kind of helps that most days Jen , like overwhelmed young moms everywhere ,throws on the same not- so-tight jeans , and barely combs her hair . Who can hate, when you really can relate? And at least she acknowledges that she has a glamour side to her life too. “I live my life at these two extremes. I’m either a full-time stay-at-home mom or a full-time actress,” she tells W mag, in their new issue.
The actress, 37, who is mom to — Violet, 4, and Serafina, 11 months — is taking a break this fall to be home with her kids she spills to W magazine. “It’s hard because I’ve taken so much time off already,” she says. “But I have this internal battle between, I need to work, and I need to be home with my kids. And the kids win.” And lucky for her, that she has that choice!
So girlfriends, we get to see all -dolled-up Jen in this shoot by photographer Craig McDean — but she really does look equally happy (and radiant and incredible) in a completely different way when she’s schlepping the Kashi and the kids at Whole Foods ,in jeans and a sweatshirt.
Jen says she takes on the role of chef (“I just puree and freeze” homemade baby food), doctor (“When my daughter has a fever, I want to be able to look in her ears myself “) and counselor (4-year-old Violet is already “a little nervous about whether the girls at school will already have friends”), all while being laugh-out-loud in films like Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and 13 Going on 30.
And thank you Jen for telling us a little about your four-year marriage to Ben Affleck, also 37. “We were together a year, and we just started breeding. We were like, ‘Let’s have a baby!’” she says.
