Pro Racecar Driver Jason Priestley Competes For ‘America’s Worst Driver’ – And Wins!

Are you – or do you know someone – who you wouldn’t let behind the wheel of a car? We do!

Do you have a friend or relative who’s ridiculously awful driver? Well, now you can nominate them to star in The Travel Channel’s new show, America’s Worst Driver! Hoda Kotb and guest host Jason Priestley took the new program for a spin on the Today show March 15 – and shockingly were neck and neck when it came to road skills.

Despite the fact that Jason, 40, is a pro racecar driver, his prowess on the track didn’t help him when it came to racing a mini-tricycle. He and Hoda, 45, had to avoid road hazards including raw eggs and overturned tires. And although Hoda gave a go at the gold her best shot, the former 90210 star still walked away with the ‘Worst Driver’ prize.

The new show, hosted by Last Comic Standing winner Alonzo Bodden, aims to highlight common driving hazards and teach the nation’s most awful drivers how to become better behind the wheel. Bodden, 47, notes that so far, “women and men are equally bad drivers,” but then adds, “however women are MUCH worse in the passenger seat, [women] just keep nagging!”

Hey, at least we broke a stereotype! Are YOU a nagging back seat driver?

Finally the Americans are taking ideas from Canadian shows. I believe The Discovery Channel has already gone through 3 or 4 seasons of Canada’s Worst Driver. Hilarious to watch and in the end makes you much more confident about your own driving.
