Welsh singer and actor, Ian H Watkins, is a poster boy for quality musical theater. Born in 1976, Watkins launched his career in 1997 when he became a member of the British pop singing group, Steps, who achieved numerous top-charted singles and albums across the UK and Europe. When Steps split in 2001, Watkins and former singing partner, Clair Richards, formed a duet H & Claire, which was a success.
Ian’s musical theater career skyrocketed in the 2000’s, and he performed in famous plays including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cinderella and Fame. He also did diverse work for the BBC on television, which expanded his opportunities to showcase his talent even further. In 2007, Watkins publicly came out as gay, and eventually became a proud father of two in 2016. In this photo, Watkins made an appearance for the Chess press night in London in 2018, and continues to make red carpet appearances often. Click through this gallery for pics of this Welsh star!
