Are 'The Hunger Games' Stars The New Rob, Kristen & Taylor?

Posted Mon, April 4, 2011 7:47pm EST

Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence are now the leading stars of a film trilogy based on a book series with a cult-like following … sound familiar? I think we’re looking at the next Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart!

As sad as it makes us, the Twilight films are rapidly coming to a close — but luckily the void Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart leave in our hearts when the second Breaking Dawn movie comes out will now be filled by The Hunger Games cast. HollywoodLifers, we present to you Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence – aka your next favorite love triangle!

Although The Hunger Games is considered sci-fi and the Twilight series is definitely fantasy, we can’t help but compare the two. In The Hunger Games, Jennifer will play Katniss, who is conflicted by her feelings for both Gale (Liam) and Peeta (Josh), much like Kristen’s Bella loves both Edward (Robert) and Jacob (Taylor) … but in different ways.

Plus, from a business stand point, The Hunger Games are going to be epic in a way only the Twilight franchise can compare. We foresee dolls, clothes, popular soundtracks and much, much more!

How do YOU feel about Liam and Josh being cast as Peeta and Gale? Do YOU think they were right for the roles? Sound off below!

The only thing is tho, there arrrrre sooo maaany friggin Twihards! If hunget games fans and the twihards had war, the hunger games r sooo flipping screwed (wats scarier than a pack of screaming teens with team jacob Shrines!)I do like the hunger games, but I jusr don’t like the cast.there’s bunches of nobody wannabe actors in hollywood, amd I think they cld of done A LOT better. So no, I don’t think the hunger games will trump twilight. To most people, twilight is like a pop culture Legacy!the actors didn’t help.they pretty much just picked people with oscar nominations. TEAM GALE

The end is near for Twilight and it’s lead actors. Everyone should give The Hunger Games a chance. Just because it may not live up to Twilight’s standards doesn’t mean we should give it the benefit of the doubt. Plus, Twilight’s not all that great to be quite honest. Society only cares to see Taylor shirtless, and making Twilight more and more overrated. People are growing tired of just how overrated Twilight is and the sometimes unecessary amount of attention it gets in the media, award shows, and more. Example, not being nominated at this year’s Kid’s Choice Awards. Fans and sociey can’t always expect Twilight to get what they want due to their ongoing success. Plus, I’m sure Rob, Kristen, and Taylor wouldn’t mind giving up their throne to someone else. That way, the stalkers, Twihards and tabloids can leave them be.

U got these guys, no matter what u think. Nothing wrong in complaining but don’t go overboard…they are actors…dye their hair, give them contacts, fiddle with the lighting, and watch those camera angles. Remember all these (book) movies use the statement “based on the book…no movie will be just like the book and no actor can appear just like everybody pictured them. So if u really liked the books…either skip the movie…or see it with your fingers crossed. And the Mortal Instrument series movie City of Bones looms on the horizon…that has a huge cast…competition, competition, competition! I hope all these actors don’t draw the same screw loose people who can’t tell the difference between real live people (the actors) and the fictional characters…these actors should get a bunch of dough and opportunities just like the twi trio (not as much but more than enough). That twilight group gotta be thanking the Lord this new group has come along… with new blood in the water maybe it’ll divert the insatiable sharks…I’m certain they can do without all the haters and stalkers that at times have made their life a living hell! Goes with the territory and u take the good with the bad. And they’re a lot better off than the simple everyday person that becomes a target for the sharks…people that mean & screwy don’t limit themselves; everyone is a potential target..hopefully they’re found out & excoritated. Awesome!!

Jennifer Lawrence is WAY more talented than Kristen Stewart. Hello she’s got an Oscar nom, Kristen is a terrible actor. The Hunger Games is much better than Twilight, it’s much better written and it actually has a point to it. I hope the movies will be good, although other than Jen Lawrence I’m not sure about the cast. Fingers crossed.

Jennifer Lawrence hates Kristen Stewart. She said such a lies on her, I don’t like her.

i am totally against the people who they casted. I do not see the amazing characters of katniss, peeta, and gale in those three. However, i would still be looking forward for the movie and watch it, hoping that i’m wrong about my opinion of them and end up with a great movie because i have been looking forward for a great hunger games movie far too long for it to be a disappointment.

also no,Katniss is not “conflicted” between Gale & Peeta like that dumbarse Bella{who’s SO selfish, she deserves the damn pedophile werewolf loving her just born daughter}.she just doesn’t like Peeta till the last book.period.like she likes him,but not THAT way.

If this is the true cast fine but they need to seriously switch around the parts. Peeta should totally be played by Liam. In the book Peeta is tall and lanky and blonde and Gale is brunete and all american boyish which is totally Josh. What r they thinking?!

Sorry sandycheeks and Angelchinky…this IS the official cast. I feel the same way as you. This wouldn’t have been my dream cast at ALL.

I think The Hunger Games’ll be even more popular than Twilight, or at least I hope so. The Hunger Games is a great series and since the screenplay is written by the original author I know it’s going to be awesome. Plus, the actors and actresses they have picked out thus far are great. I have high hopes for this movie. :D

Well, Miss Piggy is way more talented than Kristen Stewart ever will be. That’s for sure. And at least Hunger Games is well-written and thought-provoking. Twilight is just brain-washing, that’s not much of an acheivement!

I trust the director completely with this movie. They will all be amazing! Especially Jennifer Lawrence :)

I’m excited to see Jennifer Lawrence in this role. Plus, I think she’ll handle being in the spotlight well.
