Don't Be Like Gwyneth Paltrow — Stay Shine Free This Summer With Matte Powders!

With the warm weather ahead, you can bet you’ll be sweating off your makeup! Avoid Gwyneth Paltrow’s super shiny face with pressed powder foundation!

Gwyneth Paltrow, 38, showed up at the Good Housekeeping Annual Shine On Awards in NYC on April 12 with a shiny face! It happens to all of us! Here are our picks for staying matte all night long.

Shine is a huge problem for those hot summer days — stay cool and shine-free with matte powder foundation and avoid this problem all together! Celebrity makeup artist and founder of LORAC cosmetics Carol Shaw tells us about the benefits of powder foundation.

The best thing about powder foundation is that they work for all skin types. Carol says they’re “great for women with sensitive, normal, oily and acne prone skin.” They offer a lot more coverage than liquid or cream. If you have a lot of blemishes and you have oily skin, stay matte with powder.

“Powder foundations are versatile.” You can re-apply powder foundation throughout the day. Liquid or cream foundations require a powder to set it. This takes one step off your makeup routine!

Moreover, Carol tells us that powder foundations are super convenient with small compacts that fit in your purse. “They usually come with an applicator and a mirror for easy application.”
