As the real world prepares for the Royal Wedding — it appears our favorite Upper East Siders will soon be doing the same after the April 25 episode of ‘Gossip Girl!’
Throughout this season of Gossip Girl, we’ve seen Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) suffer through heartache and rebounds. Now, with only two episodes left until the season finale, Queen B has finally made her decision on a man: the Parisian Prince she left at Harry Winston last summer. Though we may have forgotten about him; he definitely did not forget about her.
The Prince traveled all the way from Paris on this week’s episode to tell Blair he never stopped thinking about her! The only problem is, however, his family does not approve of his feelings for her. The royals disapprove so much, in fact, that they went as far as hiring a private investigator to pretend to be a magazine editor and hire Dan (Penn Badgley) to follow him for a fake article.
This, of course, was a conflict of interest for Dan considering he and Blair recently had a l’affaire. But, by the time Dan bailed on the assignment, the Prince received word his family knew of his whereabouts with Blair. She wasn’t going to let Dan ruin her chances with royalty though. Blair came up with a plan to make it look like the Prince was in Manhattan for Lily’s charity event and that she was actually dating Dan by setting up a fake kiss at the event between the two. This, of course, was only a recipe for disaster.
More ‘OMG’ Moments:
1. Blair & Dan Tell Serena About Their Kiss
After Blair and Dan faked kissed and everyone’s phones were buzzing from Gossip Girl, the two had to immediately tell Serena (Blake Lively) that it wasn’t real. But Serena didn’t believe it. And after her cousin Charlie (KayLee Defer) voluntarily followed the two, after Serena told her about Vanessa’s message saying that they kissed, they were already suspicious Blair and Dan were actually dating. Serena questioned them about their previous kiss and they confessed. Serena didn’t take it too well (to say the least), and told them that they were no longer friends!
2. Dan Gives Vanessa The Boot
Charlie apologized to Dan for following him and then told him Serena first heard about their kiss from Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). Before this, Dan was contemplating renewing his friendship with V, but then decided this was the last straw. Dan told Vanessa even though they’d been friends since they were kids, too much had happened this past year and he had enough.
3. Lily’s Social Circle Disowns Here
While Lily’s family is staying right by her side as she prepares to spend time behind bars, her friends are turning their backs on jailbird-to-be. Rufus (Matthew Settle) basically had to blackmail her friends to attend her charity event. Lily (Kelly Rutherford), of course, did not know Rufus had to bargain with them to attend. It was Nate’s mom who told her they were only there because of Rufus’s setup, and it was the last Lily Van Der Woodsen party the clan would be attend. Lily then escaped the party, causing her house arrest monitoring device to go off and call police, which ultimately ended the soirée.
4. Raina’s Birth Mom Could Be Dead
As Raina (Tika Summer) searches for her birth mom, Chuck takes it upon himself to find out what really happened. Turns out she was last seen in Chuck’s father hotel, arguing with Mr. Bass, before it went up in flames. Could it be that the hotel fire was premeditated and killed Raina’s mother?
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Blair going to MARRY her Prince after seeing next week’s preview hinting a ring? Are B & S actually no longer friends? Did Chuck’s Dad kill Raina’s Mom? Sound off below!
