From Chris Benz, Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, and Jenny Packham, yesterday some of the most popular red carpet designers sent their looks down the runway! Get all the info from the tents & find out who turned up!
Even though yesterday (Feb. 14) might have been Valentine’s Day, many celebs opted to spend the day taking in shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! Both Emma Roberts and Shantel VanSanten were on hand bright and early for the Jenny Packham show — which isn’t surprising considering it’s always a red carpet worthy collection! Although Emma wasn’t too chatty, Shantel said gushed about the gorgeous dresses that came down the runway after the show.
At Carolina Herrera Mad Men star Christina Hendricks turned up, along with Gabrielle Union, where the designer sent a collection down the runway that you can definitely count on seeing on the red carpet!
My next stop was backstage at Tracy Reese, where I eyed lots of fur, longer hemlines, hints of sequins, and fun, colorful clutches! Julia Stiles and Gabrielle Union caused a frenzy in the front row, where Gabrielle was overheard saying, “Tracy Reese creates clothes for real women!”
Needing a break from the tents, I stopped over at the Robert Verdi Fashion Week retreat, where Jill Zarin was enjoying the amenities. The reality star, fresh off walking in the Zang Toi show the night before, went over to the TV and put on her performance on the runway for everyone to see as she gushed about how great of an experience it was!
The next show of the day was celeb favorite Monique Lhuillier, where Emma Roberts and Julia Stiles turned up to see the pretty dresses come down the runway.
Chris Benz was definitely something I was really looking forward to. Not only was it the first time I was attending, (I loved seeing the clothes up close!), but it was also packed with celebs like Susan Sarandon, Jessica Szohr, and Shantel VanSanten — all three couldn’t wait to see the collection!
Also showing yesterday was Marc Jacobs, where Vanessa Hudgens, Leighton Meester, and Fergie sat in the front row, all looking appropriate in festive red get-ups.
Vanessa was a busy gal, also popping into the alice + olivia presentation, where she had the opportunity to catch up with her good pal Brittany Snow who also was in attendance.
Finally, my last stop of the day was Betsey Johnson, which was full of good music and lots of laughter as the designer sent two collections down the runway — her regular priced get-ups and a collection that consisted of everything under $100. The affordable stuff was modeled by regular girls and guys!
