Ella stars as Tess on the Starz series ‘Sweetbitter,’ which returns for season 2 on July 14 with a double episode premiere. The series is based on Stephanie Danler’s best-selling novel that was released in 2016. When season 2 picks up, Tess is no longer the new girl on the job and she’s ready to take the next step. Her appetite for everything has been awakened. Throughout season 2, she has a sexual awakening, discovers her voice, and realizes her own power. But Simone, Jake, and Howard are all trapped, by both the restaurant and each other, leaving Tess to question what she wants from the restaurant and what it wants from her. ‘Sweetbitter’ also stars Caitlin Fitzgerald, Tom Sturridge, Paul Sparks, Evan Jonigkeit, Eden Epstein, Jasmin Mathews, and Daniyar.
