Drew Barrymore Gets Super Sexy For 'Elle' And Opens Up On Taking A Break From Acting!

Drew takes a step back from her crazy schedule to reflect on the past few years for Elle Magazine!

Drew Barrymore, 35, former Hollywood wild child, has had her share of career turnarounds. With two stints in rehab and a battle with alcohol and drugs in her early teen years under her belt, it seemed like Drew could have been paving the way for troubled starlets like Lindsay Lohan!

Luckily for her, Drew’s work ethic and acting skills trumped her partying past, and she is one of the most respected actresses working today. In this month’s Elle, Drew opens up about her life, and her recent realization that she was simply doing TOO much!

She says in the August issue of Elle, “For three years straight, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and as of last December, I just didn’t have anything left. I’ve been so aggressive about living life to the fullest and being plugged into everything, but now I’ve ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while. I’m thinking about the same things as when I was 15 about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It’s cocoon, pupa, larva, and f**k, I’m reborn!”

While she might be taking it easy now, this doesn’t mean that Drew will be off our radar. Her latest movie, Going the Distance, will be released on August 27, and from what she says, we have a lot to look forward to! “I like that it’s not a traditional romantic comedy…I talk s**t with my girlfriends. And it can get dirty.”

This is no surprise coming from Drew, who’s known for being honest and up front! We can’t wait to see what her ‘rebirth’ has done for her– we’re sure she’ll continue to be as creative and bubbly as ever!
