Diane Kruger Spills On Her First Big Splurge In 'Glamour' Magazine & Shows Off Her Edgy Side!

The star ditches her classic glamour for a faux hawk & opens up about her love life and high fashion!

Chanel muse Diane Kruger often looks effortlessly chic & exudes classic elegance, but for the March 2011 issue of Glamour, the star looks edgy in items by Balmain, Isabel Marant, Band of Outsiders, Giambattista Valli, Stella McCartney, and, of course Chanel!

With countless high fashion get-ups at her disposal, one would think Diane excitedly splurged on something special — however the star says that wasn’t the case at all! “The biggest fashion purchase I ever made I thought about for six years. I’m not kidding. All my life I wanted to own an Hermès Constance bag, and when I signed with Calvin Klein, I decided this was the time that I could afford it. I truly broke a sweat when I paid for it.”

So, what’s her favorite look? “A well-cut dress. It’s all about the cut. I love three-quarter sleeves. I definitely like it classic; less is more. The thing I despise most is vulgarity, and there’s a lot of that here [in L.A.].”

The stylish star even admitted sometimes she isn’t crazy about some of the items her boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, turns up wearing! “We go shopping. But he likes it. I definitely wasn’t fond of these blue sneakers that he wore all the time for about a year and a half.”

While Diane seems totally happy with Joshua, after getting married and divorced at a young age she says marriage isn’t necessarily for her. “Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don’t believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There’s no paper that will make you stay.”
