The weight issues, the cutting, the treatment — is Demi in danger of following the same trajectory as Lindsay or will her early admission of her problems and strong family save her from the same fate?
At the tender age of 18, Demi Lovato has already starred in three Disney films (Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2, Princess Protection Program), recorded two Billboard topping albums (Don’t Forget and Here We Go Again), played the lead in two hit shows (Barney & Friends and Sonny With A Chance), and embarked on a world tour. What’s more, almost all of this happened in a two year period, ultimately proving to be too much for the young star as she left her tour with the Jonas Brothers to seek treatment for cutting and an eating disorder on Nov. 1. It does seem however that Demi is in many ways like another former Disney starlet — Lindsay Lohan.
Here are Demi and Lindsay’s eerie similarities:
|Started on TV at early age:||Appeared on Barney & Friends at age 7||Appeared on Another World at age 10|

But here’s why we think that, unlike Lindsay, Demi will be able to pull through and go on to lead a successful career: She actually recognizes her problems! Nothing could be harder than coming forward and being open with such serious issues, but by doing so it seems Demi will be able to conquer her demons and go on to continue her already remarkable career.
