Who did you think had the best get-up on the red carpet?
Even though I’m not a country music fan, I was excited to see a-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Katherine Heigl, and Leighton Meester walk the red carpet at the Country Music Awards on Nov. 10 in Nashville.
Gwyneth made her debut as a country crooner and totally worked the carpet in a seriously sexy Atelier Versace one shoulder ombre cutout gown with a severe thigh-high slit. I’m sure Versace fan Jennifer Lopez is so jealous that Gwyn got her hands on this gown first. Not only did her figure look fabulous in the frock, but she accessorized impeccably pairing her get-up with Christian Louboutin satin peep toes.
Taylor was another red carpet knockout last night, wearing a red Monique Lhuillier strapless. The singer looked effortlessly elegant, accessorizing with Neil Lane jewels and Jimmy Choo pumps.
I’m rarely fond of anything Katherine Heigl wears on the red carpet, which is why I was super impressed when I saw her at the CMAs last night in a navy strapless Farah Angsana fall 2010 gown. The star, who’s finally back to sporting her blonde ‘do, looked stunning. She accessorized with Jimmy Choo sandals and a matching clutch.
Leighton took a break from filming Gossip Girl to attend the awards show last night where she continued her stellar run on the red carpet. About a year ago she was dressing way too funky for my liking, but luckily her questionable fashion choices are long gone. The star opted for a tropical print Emilio Pucci spring 2010 dress, complete with a flowing train. She accessorized with a killer pair of Jimmy Choo’s.
Nicole Kidman turned up with her hubby wearing a white lace Dolce & Gabbana dress and red L’Wren Scott pumps. While I appreciate the color, something about red shoes just makes me think of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Overall, I thought her look was lackluster.
