Uh Oh! Brandy's Concealer Is All Wrong! How YOU Can Avoid This Makeup Malfunction!

We’ve got some tips on choosing the right concealer so this doesn’t happen to you!

We found Brandy Norwood, 32, at the 4th Annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon looking a little blotchy– and it was all due to her undereye concealer being too light for her! We’ve all been there with beauty mishaps, so we don’t judge. But since this is a problem that so many of us have, we thought we’d get to the bottom of it!

Foundations are getting easier to match with your skin tone, but concealer is still a hard art to master. Since concealer is made to HIDE flaws, not make them, follow the tips below to get camera-ready!

  • Use concealer ONLY if your foundation doesn’t offer enough coverage. We never want to wear more makeup than we need to!
  • When concealing under your eyes, use a shade with a pink, orange, or yellow undertone. These are neutralizing colors that will hide dark circles and blend them with your natural skin tone.
  • Apply foundation over your concealer to blend the colors together evenly.
  • Avoid using powder concealers. Use cream or liquid, so you can use your fingers to blend!

Remember to check yourself in daylight to make sure your face is picture perfect and not in need of a bit more work. Good luck!

also disagree with telling people what foundation/blush,eyeshadow,etc they should wear, its really tacky and rude.
These women that were posted look PERFECTLY FINE! take their photos around the globe and people will agree with me. Some people prefer to look pale/paler…look at dita von teese for instance, she stays clear from the sun to avoid darkening in an interview she told reporters that. Some people like to be darker and sun kissed with bronzer on top of that, its your personal preference. Its just jealousy that someone would point that out, who is anyone to tell someone theyre wearing a too light or too dark foundation, because there is no such thing. Nicole and Sam from pixiwoo(huge makeupartists in Britain) sometimes wear paler or darker foundation and it looks gorgeous! as long as people blend it to the neck its fine….some people prefer to look bright and radiant rather than dim and dark/dull. People who are already light can wear any foundation they want and not look ashen
