The band later brought on more members, Manny Quintero (who plays the bass guitar), Spencer Ludwig (who plays trumpet), Nick Merwin (who plays guitar), and Channing Holmes (who plays drums).
The American indie pop group made big noise with its hit song “Safe and Sound,” which topped the charts at #1 (on the US Alternative Songs chart), and has been featured in many popular commercials.
“Safe and Sound” came off the band’s debut album In a Tidal Wave of Mystery, which they dropped on June 4, 2013 through Capitol Records. The album turned out to be an absolute hit as well, as it debuted at number sixty-six on the Billboard 200 chart.
