Brangelina's Date Nights Are Good For the Kids, Too! Can You Relate?

When the super famous couple has a romantic evening together, everyone in the family wins!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt still know how to keep their relationship fresh and, while they’re at it, make their kids more independent. The mother of six (in order, there’s Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 2) talked to London’s Daily Mail and explained that, when kids see how strong their parents’ relationship is, they will naturally be happier children. “You have to make time when you are not Mom and Dad once in a while,” said the 35-year-old star of the upcoming thriller, The Tourist, with Johnny Depp. “The most important thing is that you love your children, but you also have to stay focused on each other so that you stay strong. And you staying strong as a couple keeps the kids in an even better place.”

Angelina also touched on the much-discussed tomboyish ways of her oldest biological daughter, Shiloh. Needless to say, Angelina isn’t terribly concerned about it. “I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything,” she says. “She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called ‘John’ for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie …” Awww!

Though, in another interview to promote her new movie, Angelina mentioned that son Knox is very much like dad Brad, while Maddox and Shiloh “are both a little bit like me.” Does that mean Angelina likes to wear ties, too?
