Anne dives into the relationship world, describing how getting totally caught up in a romance used to be exhausting. She’s turned to another view, telling Harper‘s, “Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”
The star also addressed the comments James Franco made about hosting the Oscars with her — and what she has to say to people who didn’t think she did a great job. “How did I take it?” she says mildly about Franco’s comments on Letterman. “I let James know that a whirling dervish is a more flattering comparison than a Tasmanian devil. I called him, and we e-mailed a bit.” “In the grand scheme of things, I got to have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I met great people, wore beautiful clothes. And I got to put on a show. I don’t see a downside. Anyone who disliked my personality probably disliked my personality before the Oscars.”
The gorgeous Anne Hathaway serves as the August cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar, where she shares her personal opinions on love, career, and fashion with Cathy Horyn. She also spills on her upcoming flick, One Day! Shot by Alexi Lubomirski the star looks totally glam in a variety of get-ups, including a white Alexander McQueen gown. Anne Hathaway looks amazing in the Harper’s shots! And she’s no fashion-snob when it comes to the opportunity to model all of these drool-worthy clothes. She considers herself the ‘luckiest girl in the world’ getting to wear the glamorous outfits. We are super jealous, her McQueen dress is to die for; it screams elegance — although Anne says she hardly dresses like that everyday! The down-to-earth star told Harper‘s she’s more moderate out of the spotlight, “I’ve become a lot more specific about what I love and why I’m doing it.”
