Shiloh Is More Like Mama Angelina Jolie Than We Thought: She Likes Dead Things, Too!

Like mom, like daughter! Angelina’s worn a vial of blood around her neck and is drawn to the darker side of life, and so, it seems, is her daughter Shiloh, who wanted to keep a dead bird as a pet!

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt may look exactly like her handsome daddy Brad Pitt, 46, but she’s definitely more like her mama Angelina Jolie, 35, than we realized. The 4-year-old tomboy who loves all things pirate, seems to have an infatuation with death, or at least a dead bird. In Vogue‘s December 2010 issue, Angelina talks about the time Shiloh wanted to keep a dead bird for a pet. “Shiloh found a dead bird, so she came in and said, ‘Can I have a dead pet?'” Angelina says.

“And I’m… ‘Uh-uh, I don’t think it’s healthy, honey. I think they have to put him in a box,’ and I had to run out to find, like, a taxidermy bird. I just worked it out for her. I figured that I couldn’t keep the actual dead bird from the yard, so I swayed her toward one that had been cleaned, at least.”

Shiloh gives the family dog a talking-to!

But while that may be a little odd, the Jolie-Pitt clan actually do normal things, like household chores. “Pax [Angelina’s 6-year-old son] likes to cook,” says his proud mom. “I’m not the best cook. Pax is a better cook than me. But I try to when I can. Any house that we’re in, we all chip in.”

And Angelina’s oldest child, 9-year-old Maddox, always has his mommy’s back. “He’s just this little man that’s very supportive of me,” says Angelina. “It’s like he’s raised me a bit.”

Brad Pitt confesses that he has super powers!

And despite all of the media attention that the family draws, Angelina and Brad have a parenting plan. “We take turns working. One of us is always at home with the kids — always,” she says. “Taking them out to things and being there with them and bringing them to school or to the set to visit Mommy or Daddy.”

“It’s one of those things. How you build your family — you have to know what you’re capable of handling and how your children will relate to each other,” Angelina continues. “Maybe if you have one child and that child has a lot of needs, you realize you cannot give more attention to another. Sometimes you just know as a parent. We felt we could handle more children, and we have a very happy, very full home.”

Brad Pitt loves being a stay-at-home dad!

And it helps that Brad is an extremely helpful partner to Angelina. “When I think about him, I just think of the man who’s such a great friend and such an extraordinary father,” gushes Angelina. “And that’s when I fall, you know, when I have my moments of getting — caught up in how much I love him … it’s usually when I see him with the children.”
