Bikini weather is almost upon us…which means it’s time to get in tip-top shape! So get ready to sweat, BFF’s, because fitness expert Kacy Duke is here to hep us (and our abs) look fab!
Summer is just around the corner, but Audrina Patridge and Serena Williams are already showing off their bikini bods! But unlike the reality starlet and tennis pro, we still have a good two months before itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny bikini time is upon us – so let’s make the most of it! Luckily for us, fitness expert Kacy Duke is here to help us out!
Phew! According to Kacy, author of The Show It Love Workout, getting hot bods like Audrina, 24, who flaunted her slim figure in Las Vegas April 3 and Serena, 28, who rocked her six-pack in Miami April 2, is “totally attainable.”
In order to get flat lower abs like Audrina and Serena, Kacy suggests doing “three different ab exercises 5 times a week. Start off your routine with three sets of 20 to 30 reps doing the low bicycle. Feet should be close to the ground and the abdomen rotates to bring the elbow to the knee.”
Then, says our expert, “Lie on the floor with your knees in the air. Place a two-six lb. medicine ball behind the knees and slowly lower your feet to the floor without actually touching the ground. Then pull knees back up to the starting position and do three sets of twelve repetitions.”
The last ab exercise Kacy suggests is called Core Radiance. “Lying on your left side, prop up on your left forearm and cross your ankles (right foot in front of left) and lift your body off the ground, making a straight diagonal line,” she tells HollywoodLife.com. “Placing your right hand behind your head, contract the obliques and curl the elbow down across your chest towards the floor and then return to the starting position. Repeat this twelve times and do three sets on each side.”
Thanks to Kacy, we’ve got the secret to fantastic abs – and we can’t wait to show off our newly toned tummy (which WILL be as good as Audrina or Serena’s, we swear!) this summer!
