‘Sons of Anarchy’: Abel Tells Jax
The cat is officially out of the bag. And by cat, I mean Katey Sagal. After a somewhat tame episode of Sons, the last two minutes were full of dramz (not surprised, right?).
Ok so not exactly tame. During school, we saw Abel take out a fork from his lunch pale (not a metal one). His teacher (Courtney Love) suspected something was up when she saw scratches on his forehead — and after she informed him the police would get involved if an adult hurt him, it was clear he wanted that to happen. Child services were called after clear fork cuts tore up his inner arm — and he blamed Grandma.
Jax (Charlie Hunnam) showed his super sensitive side for the second time of the episode — the first was when he began crying after sex with Winsome (Inbar Lavi).
Anyways. After CPS showed up, that meant the kids had to be taken from Genma’s, so Wendy (Drea de Matteo) agreed to move in to Jax’s to help out.
Jax’s Confession To Abel
Later that night, Jax comes home and sincerely thanks Wendy for making the boys feel so loved and really taking care of them ever since Tara’s death.
However, their conversation was interrupted by Abel, who crawled out of bed to adorably ask for water. While Wendy got some for him, Jax decided it was time for Abel to know the truth.
“I want to tell you something, Abel, ” he started, while Wendy sat across from them. “And I want you to try to really understand. Remember when I told you that me and mommy got married after you were born when you were already three? And that you didn’t come out of mommy’s tummy the way Thomas did? That’s because you came out of another mommy’s tummy. Do you know whose tummy that was? It was Wendy’s! Wendy was your first mommy. You came out of her tummy.”
At that, he turned around and adorably looked at Wendy.
“See Daddy and Wendy, we used to be married,” Jax continued. “We realized that we were better off just being friends. But that’s why she’s here now, to help take care of you now that you need a mommy. Ok?”
Honestly, it was an emotional, sweet moment and Wendy sat there crying — Abel even ran over and kissed her on the cheek afterward. Yes, the little piece of me that would love to see Wendy and Jax together again, pinged a bit, but anyways. It seemed like the secret was out, but not yet.
Jax Finds Out The Truth
While Wendy makes tea, Jax gives her a almost-too-long hug, then goes in to Abel’s room to tuck him in. Abel, clearly a little confused, asks Jax (in the cutest voice ever), “Daddy, is Wendy my first mommy, ’cause I came out of her tummy?”
“Yeah,” he responds. “That’s right.”
“So is that why Grandma killed my other mommy, so my first mommy could be here with me?” he asked.
The look on Jax’s face is enough to make us cry, and more than anything, make us hold our breath until next week. Do you think Jax will believe him? Maybe he’ll ask Gemma? And will Gemma lie? Let me know your thoughts!
