Bio:
Meredith McIver is an American author and an in-house staff writer for the Donald Trump Organization. Her professional credits include working for Simon & Schuster, which was the company to publish three of Donald Trump’s books. Meredith also helped write Think Like A Champion, Trump: Think Like A Billionaire and Trump: How To Get Rich. She became a household name when she helped generate a speech for Melania Trump that was used at the 2016 Republican National Convention on July 19, 2016. The speech was discovered to have identical plagiarized passages from Michelle Obama‘s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech. Meredith later released a statement, explaining that Melania instructed her to use the first lady’s speech as an “example.” She said she ultimately left the language in the final speech without checking Michelle’s speeches. Meredith offered a resignation letter to the Trump family afterwards, but they rejected it.
