Kevin Norwood Bacon (born July 8, 1958, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and is an American actor and musician. He is one of six children to an architect and an elementary school teacher. In 1975, the actor won a full scholarship to the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts at Bucknell University, where he studied theatre under Dr. Glory Van Scott. At just 17 years old, Kevin headed to NYC and began taking roles in small theatre productions while waiting tables on the side.

Kevin met his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, on the set of Lemon Sky in 1981. The couple married one year later, on Sept. 4, 1988. They currently reside on the Upper West Side of NYC with their two children, Travis, born in 1989, and Sosie born in 1992.
