Jared Leto (born Jared Leto in Bossier City, Louisiana on December 26, 1971) is an actor and musician. He rose to fame after playing teen Jordan Catalano in My So-Called Life in 1994. A year later he made his film debut in How to Make an American Quilt. He has acted in many critically acclaimed films, including Girl, Interrupted, American Psycho, Fight Club, and Requiem for a Dream. In 1998, Jared formed the rock band 30 Seconds to Mars along with his older brother, Shannon Leto. The band released their debut album in 2002.
