She broke into the film industry as a “scream queen,” starring in seminal horror flicks like Halloween, The Fog, Prom Night, and Terror Train. She shed her horror movie image in 1983 with Trading Places and later the cult comedy classic, A Fish Called Wanda in 1988. In 1994, Jamie starred in True Lies, for which she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy. More recently, Jamie is known for starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in 2003 movie Freaky Friday and also being the spokeswoman for Activia yogurt.
