Bio:
Ish Smith (born Ishmael Larry Smith on July 5, 1988 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Wake Forest and went undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft. He first signed with the Houston Rockets in August 2010, but was reassigned to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League in January 2011. He was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2011, but was eventually waived off. The Golden State Warriors claimed Ish following his release from the Grizzlies. He took the place of an injured Steph Curry in a game against the New York Knicks, where he scored 11 points in 2011. He was later released and signed with the Orlando Magic. In 2013, Ish was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. His career continued with the Phoenix Suns, OK City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans and then back to the 76ers. He is currently set to be picked up by the Detroit Pistons as a back-up point guard.
