Greta Van Susteren (born June 11, 1954 in Appleton, Wisconsin) is an American commentator and TV anchor. Prior to her journalism career, Greta was a criminal defense and civil trial lawyer. She frequently made TV appearances on CNN as a legal analyst and co-hosted Burden of Proof from 1994 to 2002. She worked for Fox News Channel, where she hosted On the Record with Greta Van Susteren. Greta abruptly left Fox News following the network’s settlement with Gretchen Carlson over her sexual assault charges against Roger Ailes.

Personal Life:
Greta married lawyer John P. Coale in 1988. He is a self-described “ambulance chaser,” and became known as “Bhopal Coale” for his solicitation of his clients among victims of the Bhopal disaster. He also served as an advisor to Sarah Palin. Greta and her husband are part of the Church of Scientology.
