In 1998, Gordon opened his own restaurant in London, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, with the help of his father-in-law, Chris Hutcheson. In 2001, when the restaurant gained its third Michelin star, Gordon became the first Scot to hold that honor. Since then, Gordon has opened restaurants in the UK, Dubai, Tokyo and the US. Gordon’s first TV roles were in two documentaries, Boiling Point (1998) and Beyond Boiling Point (2000). He went on to appear in British series like Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen.
