Devon Still (born Devon J. Still on July 11, 1989 in Camden, New Jersey) is an American football player. As a kid, Devon attended Howard High School in Wilmington, Delaware. Devon played for the school’s football team, becoming a standout lineman. He was team captain during his senior season, and was awarded Lineman of the Year by the Delaware Interscholastic Coaches Association. Devon played for Penn State from 2008-2011. Devon was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the year in 2011, the only second defensive tackle to win the award. He was the Nittany Lions’ team captain in 2011, and he graduated with a degree in crime, law and justice. Devon entered the 2012 NFL Draft and the Cincinnati Bengals drafted him. Devon played two seasons with the team before he was cut in late August 2014. The team then resigned Devon to their practice squad, making him eligible for the team’s medical benefits to help pay for his daughter’s cancer treatment. Devon was moved to the active team one month after being sent to the practice squad. In his very first game back, he recorded three tackles. Devon currently plays with the Houston Texans.

Devon has a daughter, Leah, with Channing Smythe. In June 2014, Leah was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer. He put his career on hold, focusing on her recovery. The team showed support for Devon and Leah, selling his jersey in order to raise awareness for pediatric cancer research. In a October 2014 game against the New England Patriots, the Patriot’s cheerleaders donned copies of Devon’s jersey in support. In March 2015, Devon announced that Leah had undergone surgery to remove the tumor and that she was cancer free. In May 2016, Devon married Asha Joyce.
