Bio:
Danny Willett (born Daniel John Willett on October 3, 1987 in Sheffield, England) is a British golf player on the European Tour. As an amateur, Danny played for Jacksonville State University and won the 2006 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. He won the English Amateur Championship in 2007 and took part in the 2007 Walker Cup. By 2008, he was ranked the number one amateur in the world. He turned professional the same year. He is yet to win a major, but has four professional wins to his name. Danny won the BMW National Open in 2012, Nedbank Golf Challenge in 2014, Omega European Masters in 2015 and the Omega Dubai Classic in 2016.
Best Known For:
Danny is best known for his breakout performance at the 2015 Open Championship at St. Andrews in Scotland. After 36 holes he was one off the leader Dustin Johnson and was paired with him in the final group for the third round. However, an even-par 72 saw him drop down the leaderboard, which saw him out of contention. He did recover with a final round of 70 to finish in 6th.

Danny is married to Nicole Willett and they got wed in 2013. The pair reside in England.
