Bob Costas (born Robert Quinlan “Bob” Costas in Queens, New York on March 22, 1952) is an American sportscaster. Bob began sportscasting while he was a student at Syracuse University, and got his professional start in radio. He was hired by NBC in 1980. For the network, he added his commenting skills to NFL, NHL, The Kentucky Derby, the Olympics, MLB, and the NBA. He hosted a late night talk show, Later with Bob Costas, on NBC from 1988 to 1994. He starred in HBO shows On the Record With Bob Costas, Inside the NFL, and Costas Now. He is controversially outspoken about his politics and opinions on sports.

Personal Life:
Bob Costas was married to Carole “Randy” Randall Krummenacher from 1983 to 2001. The pair have two children together, a son named Keith (born 1986) and a daughter named Taylor (born 1989). Bob jokingly promised Minnesota Twins center fielder Kirby Puckett that he would name his son after him, and when Kirby followed up on the promise, Bob changed his son’s legal name to Keith Michael Kirby Costas. Bob and Randy got divorced in 2001. He married his second wife, Jill Sutton, in 2004.
