Austin Butler (born Austin Robert Butler on August 17, 1991 in Anaheim, California) is an American actor, singer and model. When Austin was just thirteen years old, he was approached by a rep from a background-acting management company while Austin was at the Orange County Fair. This helped Austin get into the entertainment industry. After working jobs as an extra, he landed his first regular role in 2005 as Lionel Scranton on Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. His breakout role came in 2008, when he played James Garrett on Zoey 101. Austin also appeared in Wizards of Waverly Place, Life Unexpected and in the spinoff of the High School Musical movie franchise, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure. Austin continued to appear in television series like Switched at Birth, The Carrie Diaries and CSI: Miami. In 2015, he was cast in the role of Wil Ohmsford in The Shannara Chronicles on MTV.
