Alyssa Milano (born Alyssa Jayne Milano on December 19, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American actress, singer and television personality. Alyssa began her career at age 7, winning a role in a national touring production of Annie. Afterwards, she continued her career with roles in off-Broadyway productions and television commercials. At age 11, she was cast as Samantha in Who’s The Boss?, daughter of Tony Danza‘s character. After Who’s The Boss? ended, Alyssa pursued the next set of her career, shedding her “nice girl” image with more mature film roles. In 1994, she attempted to replace Shannen Doherty on Beverley Hills, 90210 but didn’t land the part. She would return to television in 1997 as Jennifer Mancini on Melrose Place and as Phoebe Halliwell in the show, Charmed. Alyssa continues to make appearances in movies and television shows, including a role in the series Mistress as well as hosting Project Runway: All Stars.
