Bonnie Fuller Honored By The UJA Federation Of New York
HollywoodLife.com Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Fuller has been honored for her career accomplishments, and for her status as a role model. In a new interview, she offers advice to young women about building their own successful careers.
Bonnie Fuller, Charlotte Ronson, Leandra Medine and Elana Drell-Szyfer were the four lucky women honored by the UJA-Federation of New York’s Professional Women’s Philanthropy on May 7. They were honored at Women of Influence: The Event, and were chosen for their professional and philanthropic accomplishments, as well as for being role models for future generations of professional women. HollywoodLife.com was lucky enough to interview all four honorees at the event, and they revealed the key to building a successful career.

Bonnie Fuller (born September 8, 1956, in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian media powerhouse, currently working as the President and Editor-In-Chief of HollywoodLife.com. After successfully establishing herself as the Editor-in-Chief of Canadian teen magazine Flare, Bonnie moved to New York City to become the Editor-in-Chief of YM, where she grew circulation from 700,000 to over 1.7 million. During her career, she has been the launch editor of American Marie Claire magazine for which she and her team earned Advertising Age’s Magazine Launch of the Year award. Following Marie Claire, Bonnie was promoted to Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, succeeding the legendary Helen Gurley Brown. At Cosmopolitan, she raised newsstand sales 18% in her first year, and was named Editor of the Year by Advertising Age for her redesign and modernization of the magazine.Click here to read more

HollywoodLife.com attended the NYC premiere of Contagion and not only did we find it riveting our Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Fuller calls it “incredibly gripping!” The film is about a deadly unknown pandemic that starts in Hong Kong and spreads all across the globe killing a hundreds of millions of people. It turns out it was transferred from bats to pigs to people. Scared yet?
The best thing about it was it’s plausibility – yes, a deadly pandemic like this could happen – and that you get to see usually gorgeous-to-perfection actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslett looking truly god awful. On Dec. 8, Bonnie joined The New York Women in Film & Television to support the careers of women in entertainment at the 30th annual Muse awards. NYWIFT supports women calling the shots in film, television and digital media. The organization energizes the careers of women in entertainment by illuminating their achievements, providing training and professional development activities, and advocating for equity. Membership includes more than 2,000 women and men working both above and below the line. NYWIFT is part of a global network of 40 women and film organizations, representing more than 10,000 members worldwide.
