“Selena’s feeling so good about how she looked at the Met Gala. She loves how all the pictures came out, she’s really happy with how she looked, especially after all those fat comments,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “And Justin saying she looked gorgeous is icing on the cake. I mean, he didn’t say anything about Kendall looking gorgeous did he? That made her feel like she won the Met Ball.”

Unfortunately, Justin hasn’t always made Miss Gomez feel her most confident. While the Texas native is drop-dead-beautiful herself, she still has major hang-ups about Bieber’s flings with girls as stunning Kendall.

“[Selena] still loves the guy but the whole break-up didn’t just hurt her heart, it totally screwed with her self esteem,” the insider reveals. “She knows comparing herself to anyone else is the worst thing to do and she tries so hard to avoid it but it’s not easy when your ex-boyfriend is hooking up with supermodels. So that was pretty huge [for him to call her gorgeous].”

While Justin’s good for making a girl feel great about herself, he has a knack for destroying friendships. Case in point: Selena and Kendall. The “I Want You To Know” singer allegedly walked in on Biebs fooling around in bed with Kendall in April 2014, according to Life & Style. Uh-oh!

“For months, Selena sent her angry texts and insulted [Kendall],” an insider told the mag. “She was really mean to Kendall, but who could blame her? She thought she was her friend.”
