Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official engagement photos have arrived! Meghan’s diamond ring sparkles as she and Harry hold each other close!
Have you seen anything more perfect? — Meghan Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33, released their official engagement portraits on December 21, per Kensington Palace on Twitter. The photos were taken earlier this week by Fashion Photographer, Alexi Lubomirski at Frogmore House, Windsor. In both shots — a color photo and a black and white portrait — the newly engaged pair beams with love as they hold each other close; making sure to show off Meghan’s breathtaking engagement ring.
Meghan looked radiant in the photos in a long-sleeve, sheer top with floral embellishment. Her dark locks were down with slight waves at the ends, as she put her custom diamond engagement ring on full display. Prince Harry designed the stunning ring using a stone from Botswana, surrounded by two diamonds from his mother, the late Princess Diana‘s collection. Harry looked dapper in a navy blue suit, as he held his bride-to-be close. He rested his face on Meghan’s head, with a serious smirk on his face.
“A huge thank you to His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Ms. Markle, for allowing me to take their official engagement portraits,” the photographer, Alexi wrote on Instagram. “Not only was it an incredible honor, but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for each other. I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took.”
Yesterday was another big day for Meghan. The actress, with her fiancé, attended the Queen’s annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on December 20. The event marked the first time Meghan officially met Harry’s entire family. The two were photographed driving to the lunch, where Meghan proudly flashed her diamond ring.
And, she is about to reach a major milestone on Christmas day. Meghan will join the royal family for holiday festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham estate on December 25, Kensington palace confirmed her attendance in a statement last week. This will be the first royal fiancée to spend Christmas with the royal family, ever. In the past, fiancee’s of royal family members were not included in the holiday events at Sandringham. Kate Middleton did not even attend services at Sandringham in 2010, when she was still engaged to William. And, she spent Christmas with her family before she and William wed that next year.
Kensington Palace announced that Harry and Meghan will wed on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Prince Harry and Meghan — who began dating in 2016 — announced their engagement to the world on November 27.
