The Weekend Update team just blasted President Donald Trump for his shameless behavior in the best way possible! Check it out!
Oh snap! Weekend Update just slammed Donald Trump, 71, over the allegations of sexual misconduct that he faced on the campaign trail last year! “Nine senators came forward to call for President Trump to resign from office over the allegations of sexual assault this week,” Colin Jost, 35, told the studio audience. “The problem is you’re never going to shame ‘President Graba**’ out of office. Shame for Trump is like spinach for Popeye. It only makes him stronger.” Whoa! Check out more images from Season 43 of the hit show right here!
While not every SNL sketch from 2017 can hold up to scrutiny, Weekend Update has reliably delivered hilarious segments in response to one disaster after another including the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico following a barrage of hurricanes, President Donald Trump‘s endless feuds and Roy Moore‘s failed attempt to claim Alabama’s senate seat amid allegations of sexual misconduct with teenage girls as young as 14. In fact, prior to Moore’s loss, Colin took aim at the language of Trump’s full-throated endorsement of the polarizing Alabama candidate, reportedly saying “Go get ’em Roy.” “Come on man, when you’re endorsing an accused child molester you can’t say ‘go get ’em,’” Colin responds. “By the way, ‘go get ’em’ is what Roy whispers to himself right before he walks into a Hot Topic.” Wow!
And although it wasn’t a Weekend Update gag, Michael Che, 34, managed to star in one of the season’s most popular sketches in which he decided to become “Gretchen,” a liberal white woman in order to figure out how they think! And let’s just say the results were amazing! At one point, “Gretchen” deals with a man bemoaning the mistreatment of white men in America. “Your masculinity is mad toxic right now, my ni**a!” he responds after asking another girl to hold his Warbys! It’s easy to see why this pair just became head writers on the show!
