The Foo Fighters‘ visit to Saturday Night Live on Dec. 16 was truly epic as they performed a medley of hits, including Christmas favorites during an amazing holiday performance. Lead singer, Dave Grohl, was decked out in a festive winter sweater as he opened the medley by strumming his guitar and belting out the lyrics to their popular tune, “Everlong” before rocking their way into the Christmas songs, “(Christmas) Baby Please Come Home” with lyrics sung by three backing female vocalists, and “Linus and Lucy.” With new music and touring always on their radar, this group doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, and their performance has definitely helped us to get into the Christmas spirit! Head here to take a look back at some other unforgettable moments from Season 43 of SNL!
This isn’t the first in recent days that Saturday Night Live has played host to some of the biggest acts in the music world. On Dec. 3, U2 blew audiences away with a fiery performance of their new track “American Soul.” The visit was made all the more special with some animations made to go along with the tracks sermon-like opening. The images include a young African American boy wearing a hood, fliers getting posted and the American flag.
And we can’t talk insane SNL performances without discussing Taylor Swift‘s, 28, visit! Everyone’s favorite pop star owned the stage with a dazzling rendition of “Ready for It”! She and her backup dancers brought some serious attitude with some stunning dance moves highlighting the songstress’s new take-no-prisoners attitude!
