Oops! Julianne Moore showed off more than she bargained for after the LA premiere of her new film, ‘Suburbicon,’ on Oct 22. She flashed her underwear to a bevy of paparazzi as she made her way into a taxi!
Julianne Moore, 56, suffered an unfortunate wardrobe mishap on a night out with her husband, Bart Freundlich, 47. The Oscar-winning actress mistakenly flashed her nude underwear on Oct. 22, as she tried to climb into a taxi. Julianne gave onlookers a peak at her under garments after she left Catch LA, following the premiere of her new film, Suburbicon. Despite her unexpected fashion moment, Julianne stunned in a thigh-bearing, white mini dress, with a black cape. She was head-to-toe perfection with a half-up top knot, black stilettos and large, hoop earrings. See her full malfunction, below.
The actress was all smiles at the premiere of Suburbicon; a thriller, set in 1959, that centers around the Lodge family and the eery, peaceful town of Suburbicon. The plot continues with the family attempting to adjust to the town and its mysterious reality and dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit and violence. Julianne plays Margaret and Rose; Rose is the wife of Matt Damon‘s gardner and Margaret is Rose’s sneaky twin sister. “She’s terrible, she’s dreadful,” Julianne said of her character, Margaret at the premiere [via Herald Sun]. “But what I loved about Margaret is, she’s somebody who so desperately wants another life, she wants everything her sister has and she will do everything she can to get it — that was interesting to me, because she’s complex.” Suburbicon also stars George Clooney, 56, who directed the film and wrote the screenplay.
Although Julianne, George, and Matt, 47, celebrated the premiere of their new film, Suburbicon wasn’t the only hot topic on the red carpet. The Hollywood veterans also discussed the recent Harvey Weinstein, 65, scandal, where more than 40 women came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment. “I think right now the most important thing is to empower women to come out and speak out about what happened to them to let people know that it’s not OK,” Julianne said to CBS Los Angeles. George added: “It’s infuriating… I hope that anyone who is victimizing women and assaulting women and silencing women shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it.” Matt even spoke out about the scandal, where he said that the fact that Weinstein lost his Hollywood job as a top producer, is a step in the right direction.
Matt went on: “The fact that one of the most powerful people I’ve ever seen in Hollywood has been banished basically is a shot across the bow to any man in this industry who would leverage and use their power to mistreat women,” he said. “I think they’re on notice. You know?”
