Epic collab much? Florida Georgia Line and The Chainsmokers mixed things up a bit at the CMT Awards, performing their song, ‘Last Day Alive’, for the first time ever!
The guys of Florida Georgia Line gave their fans a real treat at the 2017 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 7. As if them performing wasn’t exciting enough, they brought along their friends, The Chainsmokers, to join them for the big show. As many FGL fans might already know, they are featured on The Chainsmokers debut EP, which was released on April 7. For the first time ever the two duos came together to perform their song, “Last Day Alive”, at the CMT Awards and needless to say it was amazing. Seriously, we loved seeing both groups on stage together just rocking out to their own tunes. So cool!
For their performance, Florida Georgia Line took The Chainsmokers outside to perform in the streets of Nashville for the fans. While FGL took on the lead vocals, Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers played the acoustic guitar and sang along during the chorus. Things started off slow as the song kicked off, but once the beat dropped and the chorus took off the party was in place! We loved seeing these two on stage together — hopefully it’s not the last time they perform together.
