You’ve never seen a dance like this — even the judges are in awe! In an exclusive sneak peek of this week’s ‘World of Dance,’ a 18-year-old dancer completely nails his audition and Ne-Yo is floored. Watch the video here.
Nick Daniels, 18, is bringing in the contemporary dance like we’ve never seen before. The teenager has spent his life learning dance in his mother’s New Jersey studio, but recently moved to Miami, Fla. to train at Stars Dance Studio, with highly respected coaches, Victor Smalley and Angel Armas. And clearly, it has paid off. He danced to One Republic‘s “Secrets” on for Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo on World of Dance, and it looks like he’ll definitely be moving on.
“If I ever wanted to know what contemporary loked like without the use of bones, I do now,” Ne-Yo, 37, told Nick after his performance. “That’s why they call it the ‘It Factor,’ because you can’t really put a finger on exactly what it is. But I can put a finger on the fact that you have it. You definitely have the ‘It Factor.’ So I’m just gonna say, ‘Good damn job.’” Jennifer Lopez also looks pretty impressed!
This week’s episode will continue with “The Qualifiers” round, th the judges splitting dancers they’re impressed with into three groups — Junior (17 years old and under), Upper (groups 1-4, ages 18+) and Team (groups of 5+, ages 18+).
HollywoodLifers, do you think Nick could make it far on World of Dance? Watch his full audition on Tuesday at 10PM ET on NBC.
