Who came back, and who went home in the middle of a date? Here’s a break down of this week’s ‘The Bachelorette.’
First thing’s first: DeMario came back and tried to convince Rachel to give him another chance. Basically, she told him she may have let him stay, had he acted like an actual man in the gym that day, but since he didn’t, she was over it. (#Bye!) Then there was the Lucas/Blake E. feud which now also consisted of Lucas claiming that Blake stood over his bed eating a banana. Blake’s response: I don’t eat carbs, so clearly I wasn’t eating a banana. The drama was apparently too much for Rachel — at the rose ceremony, Lucas and Blake were sent home. Their fight also continued during their exit interviews. Ugh, wha…boom goes the dynamite.
Let’s get to the dates: Bryan, Jonathan, Peter, Alex, Will, and Fred got the first group date — on The Ellen Show. We watched them all strip when the episode aired, but they also played “Never Have I Ever,” where we found out that Fred, the guy who knew Rachel when they were kids, was really into Rachel — even more so when he found out Will, Bryan and Peter had all already kissed her. He wanted to move past the “friend from childhood” thing, so afterward, he took charge and kissed her (after asking her); he immediately felt sparks… and she did not. So instead of dragging him along all week until the rose ceremony, she sent him home then. Alex got the group date rose.
Anthony (who?) got the one-on-one date which consisted of doing things you could only do in LA… like riding a horse down Rodeo Drive and into stores? Snooze. To be honest, it was boring. However, it was apparently great for her — she explained to him that he was so “brave” handling all the new adventures, so he received a rose.
Brady, Dean, Adam, Kenny, Bryce, Lee, Jack, and Eric got the next group date. Apparently Eric really needed it; he felt like he needed some assertion that she was interested. He later told Iggy, who interrupted his conversation, that he wondered if Rachel was playing a game. Anyway, Rachel brought back her friends again to plan the date — mud wrestling. Bryce won (up against pro-wrestler Kenny), but it was still about to get dirty.
Apparently Rachel had told Raven she was very excited about Eric — and then Bryce and Lee told Raven they were most worried about Eric. After the date, Rachel told Eric that Bryce and Lee said they were unsure about his motives; naturally, Eric approached the guys about why they would say that. Basically, they claimed they meant he was just the least experienced with love. Bryce seemed genuine but Lee, not so much. He pretty much just thought he was better than Eric. Regardless, Eric got the group rose.
During the cocktail hour, both Iggy and Lee decided to tell Rachel that they were worried about Eric. Naturally, Rachel questioned him, but he already had a rose and she clearly trusted him. After talking to her, Eric told all the guys to stop talking about him — and Lee could not drop it. Honestly, his attitude was a little much. And with that, the episode was (of course) to be continued…
HollywoodLifers, do you think Eric was in the wrong? Or Lee?
