Bill Cosby got a major show of support from his former TV daughter, Keshia Knight Pulliam, on the start date of his trial for alleged sexual assault on June 5. Keshia walked arm-in-arm with Bill as he arrived to the courthouse, clearly showing she’s on his side amidst this controversy.
Keshia Knight Pulliam, 38, arrived to the Norristown, Pennsylvania courthouse with Bill Cosby, 79, who played her father on The Cosby Show years ago, on June 5. Bill is on trial for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a former employee of Temple University, Andrea Constand, and Keshia is making it blatantly clear she supports her former co-star (the 38-year-old was only five years old when she started portraying Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, which ran from 1984-1992). Phylicia Rashad 68, who played Bill’s wife on the show, is also expected to make an appearance at some point during the trial, according to Bill’s spokesperson.
Bill has been accused of sexual assault by more than 50 woman, but this trial is strictly involving the allegations made by Andrea, who claims he drugged and raped her at his mansion back in 2004. Meanwhile, Keshia has previously spoken out in support of the man she grew up with on television. “I can only speak to the great man that I know and love, who has been so generous, who has been such a philanthropist, giving back millions of dollars to education and schools,” she told Access Hollywood in 2015. Bill has vehemently denied Andrea’s shocking allegations, and entered a not guilty plea before the trial.
Bill and Andrea met in 2002 while she was the director of operations for women’s basketball at his alma-mater, Temple University. After he allegedly sexually assaulted her in 2004, she moved back to Canada, where she has been working as a massage therapist since.
