Is Rihanna a total sore loser!? The singer was rooting for the Cavaliers in game 1 of the NBA Finals, and when they lost, she lashed out and even slapped her friend in the face. It was all caught on video, too — watch here!
Rihanna, 29, had everyone talking when she sat courtside for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors game on June 1! The NBA Finals match was at the Warriors’ home court, but RiRi was not shy about cheering on the Cavs, and she was visibly disappointed (and a tad bit angry) when they lost 113-91. While leaving the arena, Rihanna even got a bit violent with her pal who joined her at the game — a video shows her smacking the friend right on the head! It appears her female companion was rooting for the Warriors over Rihanna’s Cavs, and there may have been some trash talking going on. After the slap, the friend can be heard on the video chirping back, “F*** that we won!”
As the ladies continued out of the arena, Rihanna still seemed a bit pissed off, storming in front of her gal pal and yelling, “It doesn’t matter!” A third woman can be seen trying to break things up, but the footage cuts off before there’s a resolution. Let’s hope these women aren’t letting a silly basketball game get in the way of their friendship, though — especially when there’s still a whole series yet to play! Sure, the Warriors are up 1-0 now, but LeBron James and the Cavs came back from a 3-0 deficit in 2016 to the same team, so anything’s possible.
Rihanna made major headlines at the June 1 game: First, for her sexy, cleavage-baring ensemble, and then, because of an apparent altercation with Warriors player Kevin Durant. The 29-year-old reportedly heckled Durant throughout the game, and he appeared to be glaring at her from the court on more than one occasion. However, after the game, Kevin said he didn’t remember anything like that happening, and shrugged off questions about a possible feud. The teams will face off again on June 4.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Rihanna slapping her friend? Was it playful…or out of line?
