Friday Playlist is where we do the hard work for you, and put everything we like in one place each week. Scroll for a Spotify playlist of everything mentioned here!
1. “Everything Now” — Arcade Fire
Everyone’s favorite Canadian indie rockstars are back with this excellent, sweeping single. Check those disco vibes.
2. “Now Or Never” — Halsey
This track debuted last month, but in honor of Halsey’s new album, which was unveiled today, it’s earned a spot on the list. What a jam.
3. “Staring At The Sun” — Vanic, Clara Mae
Vanic, the EDM producer behind the insanely good “Borderline” remix with Tove Styrke, serves up another banger.
4. “IDGAF” — Dua Lipa
If Dua Lipa isn’t on your radar yet, well, here’s your first taste. “IDGAF,” off her stellar self-titled debut album, is the eff-you anthem that we all need right now. Favorite line: “I’m too busy for your business.” Yas.
5. “Ground Control” — All Time Low, Tegan and Sara
Alex Gaskarth and Tegan and Sara sound out of this world (sorry) on this duet. It’s an unlikely collaboration, and damn, it works.
6. “Uh Huh” — Julia Michaels
The follow-up to “Issues” that we’ve all been waiting for. There’s some weird-sounding and downright squeaky vocals at times, and we love it.
7. “Perfect Places” — Lorde
She might not be nineteen anymore, but she’s definitely on fire. Can Lorde just give us her album already??
8. “Eyes Closed” — Halsey
So nice we included her twice. The Weekend helped out on the melody for this one, and it shows. Stay for when the beat drops on the chorus.
