Camila Cabello shared behind-the-scenes footage from the making of her music video for ‘Crying in the Club’ today, June 2, and we nearly teared up hearing her explain the inspiration behind the visual. Watch Camila explain how she’s turned her ‘sadness’ into ‘happiness!’
“Sadness sometimes makes happiness so much more meaningful,” Camila Cabello, 20, tells viewers in “The Making of “Crying in the Club” (Behind The Scenes).” No doubt, she’s thinking about her departure from Fifth Harmony, which we all know was not easy. “In those moments where you find that happiness and you find that healing, it just makes happiness so much more meaningful,” Camila continues. “And when you find that strength again…it just makes that more powerful because you know what it feels like to be weak and broken so you’re so much more appreciative of everything when you get back up.” So inspiring!
The four-minute clip gives us a peek at the making of Camila’s super steamy music video for “Crying in the Club,” and we’re treated to footage of her looking makeupless and doing vocal warmups. “You just really have to allow yourself to feel it and know that you’re going to get through it and it’s not gonna last forever,” Camila also says in the clip, adding that she’s been able to transform her heartbreak into “healing energy and love and intensity and passion.” Aww.
Watch Camila’s behind-the-scenes video:
Camila is already slaying the solo game with this track and “I Have Questions,” not to mention her feature on Cashmere Cat‘s “Love Incredible.” We absolutely can’t wait for her solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., which is slated for September 2017! Hopefully we’ll get a handful of new songs before that happens.
