Hopefully all of you have a summer vacation planned, and no matter the locale, no one wants to worry about spending time in the bathroom. You can look gorgeous and natural with these hair tips from Kourtney Kardashian!
Kourtney Kardashian has been living it up on beach vacations for the past few months. Unlike the Kardashians, we don’t travel with a glam squad. (Kourtney only does when she’s working). She just revealed her vacation beauty secrets on her website: “When I’m on vacation with my family — especially when I am with my kids — I don’t like to waste time getting ready. My strategy for hair is to embrace its natural texture and avoid using hot tools like curling irons, straighteners or blow dryers. Scroll down to get my low-maintenance vacation hair.”
Follow her easy tips below!
“1) I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner on vacation, since the products at hotels dry out my hair. I usually travel with a small set of shampoo and conditioner from Rahua.
2) Right when I get out of the shower, I run a brush through my hair to comb the tangles out and get it going in the direction I want.
3) Since I like to let my hair air dry on vacation, I usually add a pea-size amount of Kardashian Beauty Black Sesame Oil throughout to add shine.
4) For a wavy, beach look, I’ll divide my damp hair into 5 sections and twist each part into a little loose bun and secure. Once it dries, I’ll let it down and it magically looks like I used a curling iron to get waves! This is a good trick I like to use if I’m going out to dinner after a day at the beach.
5) I also always travel with Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam and use this on my roots to add volume — especially if I’m doing a high ponytail or topknot.”
We love these tips. I tried to do an air-dry only challenge on a two-week vacation last year and let’s just say I didn’t make it a week. But luckily, I have naturally straight hair, so no straightener or blow dryer was necessary. I did add some waves with a curling iron halfway through to switch up my style and give me some volume, but overall, I was very low-maintenance, just like Kourtney!
