Kendall Jenner, 21, has a major new role to celebrate! Fresh off a glam trip to the Cannes Film Festival, the star announced her partnership with Adidas, as the new face of the Adidas Originals brand. The good news marks her first major endorsement following the backlash surrounding her Pepsi campaign — and it looks like the model is ready to look ahead, especially now that the new campaign is on the horizon.
Kendall took to Instagram on May 31 to break the news as she posted a boomerang of herself driving around on a golf cart with a big Adidas mural behind her which featured the logo of the brand and read “welcome to the family.” Kendall was appropriately decked out in Adidas as she sported a tracksuit by the brand and a pair of matching sneakers. She captioned the image: “Officially joining the adidas fam!”
The model teased the announcement weeks ago on Instagram, when she posted a throwback photo of herself as a little girl, wearing an oversized Adidas tee with the caption: “Always been an OG.”
It comes as no surprise to see Kendall sign with Adidas. After all, her brother-in-law, Kanye West, has a lucrative partnership with the brand, as they produce his Yeezy line. While Kendall joins Adidas, her sis, Kylie Jenner, has a partnership with PUMA and her pal Bella Hadid is the face of Nike, while Bella’s big sis, Gigi Hadid, is signed to Reebok.
