Tiger Woods’ DUI arrest has taken another embarrassing turn, as he was busted after cops reportedly found him asleep behind the wheel of his car! Having his reputation ruined yet again is the last thing Tiger wanted and HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop that he feels utterly ‘humiliated.’
Tiger Woods, 41, was found snoozing while still behind the wheel of his 2015 Mercedes on May 29, according to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports. Though the car was stopped, its motor was still running and it right blinker was still flashing. Thus, the cops that discovered this unusual sight had to investigate. What they found was a golfing legend, one who “had extremely slow and slurred speech,” per the report. The officers issued a field sobriety test and Tiger just bombed it. He couldn’t stand on one leg, couldn’t touch his nose or recite the alphabet backwards. When asked if he understood what the Romberg alphabet test was, Tiger said, “Yes, recite the entire national anthem backwards.” Oh, Tiger.
So, after all this, the cops had no choice but to arrest him for DUI. The scandal couldn’t have come at a worse time. “The last thing Tiger wanted was this,” a source close to Tiger tells HollywoodLife.com, giving EXCLUSIVE DETAILS on this arrest. “He has been stressed trying to get back to the game that has defined him. And this DUI is a chapter that he soon would like to forget. He is humiliated and embarrassed that he is dealing with this right now and would like nothing more than to be on the golf course winning championships.”
“He let down so many friends, family and business associates over this and he is taking it very hard,” the source tells HollywoodLife.com. If Tiger feels embarrassed about the arrest, he better stay off the Internet for the next few days. His mug shot was released after he was busted, and it didn’t take long for Twitter and Instagram users to turn it into the latest sports meme. People compared him to a stoned Furby and suggested he partied way too hard during Memorial Day weekend.
Tiger was found 8 miles from his home and told the officers that he was “coming from L.A. California from golfing,” according to the report. That police report seemed to back up Tiger’s claim that alcohol wasn’t involved. Tiger was taken to a testing facility and, at 4:28 AM, he blew zeros on a breathalyzer test. Four drugs were listed under his medical conditions – Solarex, Vicodin, Torix and Vioxx (though the report states that Tiger hasn’t taken Vioxx this year.) Tiger, in a statement after his arrest, said the whole scandal was due to an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. Tiger is due back in court in July. Perhaps he’ll hire a driver to take him?
What do you think about Tiger being “humiliated” by this scandal, HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked that he failed the sobriety test?
